For Daily Living | Instinct Field Training Academy
Discover a different approach to learning hypnosis with the Instinct Field Training Academy (IFTA), part of For Daily Living.
The Instinct Field Training Academy (IFTA), part of For Daily Living, offers a different approach to learning hypnosis and developing professional skills.
Created by bestselling author Paul Regan, our training combines established hypnotherapy foundations with advanced technical methods developed within the Instinct Field training system.
We teach students how hypnosis is constructed, how attention and perception can be influenced, how conversational and confusion techniques are applied, and how complete hypnotic experiences are developed.
You will learn traditional inductions, deepeners, suggestions and session structures alongside techniques including Fractional Displacement & Separation (FDS), conversational hypnosis, Ghost, Subconscious Navigation, MISST and our Six-Stage Emotional Exchange framework.
Our aim is to develop students who understand the techniques they are using, rather than simply memorising scripts.
The training begins at beginner level and progressively introduces more advanced methods through structured lessons and practical examples.
Access approximately 17.5 hours of online hypnotherapy training, covering the foundations of hypnosis through to advanced techniques and practical applications.
Your training explores:
The full Business-Ready Package includes the Learn Hypnosis and Self-Hypnosis training book.
This substantial foundation manual provides additional technical explanations, structured techniques, practical examples and hypnosis scripts to support your video education.
The manual can be revisited throughout your training and used as a reference as your knowledge develops.
Develop your knowledge through supporting learning materials designed to help you understand and apply the techniques.
These include practical training resources, exercises, examples and guidance for developing hypnosis sessions.
You will explore how to prepare a session, select an appropriate approach, construct hypnotic experiences and complete the process responsibly.
The Business-Ready Package includes resources to help you prepare for professional practice.
These cover areas such as client information, consultation preparation, session documentation and structured service planning.
The purpose is to help you understand the practical administration involved in providing hypnosis services, alongside your technical training.
Learn how to begin planning your own hypnotherapy or wellness business.

Stage 1 introduces the foundation skills and techniques that form the beginning of the wider IFTA training system.
Students can progress towards further IFTA certification and Diploma-level development through additional advanced coursework, practical experience and assessment.
IFTA certificates are Academy-issued awards. Professional recognition, insurance eligibility and permission to practise vary by country and professional organisation.
Your foundation programme is the first of three interconnected training stages.
Stage 1 — Foundation Hypnosis: 45 planned learning hours
Develop foundational knowledge, technical hypnosis skills, the Six-Stage framework and introductory specialist techniques.
Stage 2 — Advanced Hypnotherapist Volume 1: 80 planned learning hours
Explore advanced emotional architecture, detailed practitioner workbooks, complex deepening systems, observation and the 16-state session framework.
Stage 3 — Advanced Hypnotherapist Volume 2: 90 planned learning hours
Develop advanced environmental techniques, specialist applications, integrated session construction, case analysis and practitioner assessment.
Together, these form IFTA's 215-hour planned practitioner-development pathway, combining guided teaching, structured study, exercises and practice.
The Advanced Volume 1 and Volume 2 programmes are separate from the Stage 1 purchase.
Hypnosis can involve much more than asking someone to close their eyes and relax.
IFTA trains students in attention, language, perceptual reference points, hypnotic response and the construction of structured experiences.
Our original methods are designed to help students explore more technical approaches while learning the importance of observation, consent, appropriate application and safe practice.
You do not need previous hypnosis qualifications to begin.
We introduce foundational principles first, then progressively explore conversational hypnosis, confusion techniques, FDS and specialist methods.
Study from home, revisit lessons and work through your learning materials around employment, family and other responsibilities.
Our online-only model makes structured hypnosis education available internationally without regular classroom attendance.
By delivering teaching online, IFTA can reduce the costs associated with physical teaching premises and scheduled classroom delivery.
This allows us to offer substantial foundational training at an accessible price, with additional advanced development and assessment available separately.
No. Our Stage 1 course begins with foundational concepts and progressively introduces more advanced techniques. It is designed for complete beginners as well as people who already have an interest in hypnosis.
IFTA combines conventional hypnotherapy education with our own structured methods, including FDS, Ghost, MISST, Subconscious Navigation and the Six-Stage Emotional Exchange framework.
Our training places particular emphasis on technical hypnosis, attention, conversational techniques, confusion methods and practitioner adaptability.
Yes. You will study inductions, deepeners, direct and indirect suggestions, guided imagery, session construction, client preparation, practical applications and safe completion.
These foundations are taught alongside our more specialised methods.
Fractional Displacement & Separation is an original IFTA deepening framework.
It uses structured changes in attention, experiential reference points, separation, displacement and carefully developed confusion before transitioning into deepening and stabilisation.
The course introduces the method and provides practical examples of its application.
NEP is an IFTA-developed approach to examining emotional responses, attention, behaviour and the integration of new experiences.
The foundation programme introduces related emotional-processing principles through the Six-Stage framework. More extensive specialist development belongs to the advanced IFTA ecosystem.
IFTA has developed a separate teaching philosophy centred on hypnosis mechanics, attention, perception, emotional processing and Instinct Field methods.
NLP and CBT are not presented as core training systems in this programme. This reflects our chosen educational specialisation and does not mean that established psychological treatments are ineffective.
The foundation course contains approximately 17.5 hours of recorded teaching.
The wider Stage 1 learning specification allows approximately 45 hours when guided study, reading and practical development are included.
Your personal completion time will depend on your study routine and practice.
Yes. The training is delivered online and is suitable for international students who can study in English.
Professional registration, insurance and practice requirements vary between countries and must be checked separately.
Yes. The full Business-Ready Package includes the Learn Hypnosis and Self-Hypnosis foundation book.
The Advanced Hypnotherapist Volume 1 and Volume 2 books support the later training stages and are separate publications.
Yes. The Business-Ready Package includes downloadable client forms, business start-up guidance, practical resources and client service models.
These are intended to help you begin planning a professional service, alongside developing the required practical competence.
The training forms part of IFTA's own certification pathway. The award available at each stage depends on the specified completion and assessment requirements.
An IFTA award is not automatically equivalent to externally accredited professional qualifications, nor does completion alone guarantee eligibility for professional registration or insurance.
The training and business resources can help you prepare for that goal.
Before providing professional services, you must ensure that you have appropriate competence, insurance, professional safeguards and any further qualifications or permissions required in your location.
The programme introduces session preparation, professional communication and business planning relevant to online services.
Students intending to work professionally should also develop practical experience, client-screening procedures and appropriate safeguards.
